Dr. Scott Stein is a native Rochesterian who grew up in Brighton and graduated from Brighton High School. He received his B.A. in Biology from the University of Buffalo. He continued there through Dental School, where he was on the Dean’s List for outstanding academic performance every semester. Dr. Stein was the only one in his class to graduate with thesis honors, and was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society at the completion of Dental School. He then received his orthodontic training at the prestigious Eastman Dental Center’s Department of Orthodontics where he maintained a straight “A” average, and was asked to become an instructor in the department upon graduation.
Dr. Stein maintains a full-time private practice in Pittsford, NY. He also is a part-time clinical instructor and co-director of the Orthodontic Biomechanics and Orthognathic Surgery courses at the University of Rochester’s Eastman Department of Dentistry – Division of Orthodontics. Dr. Stein has co- authored articles and text book chapters on various orthodontic topics, and has been a guest lecturer at both the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. and the Monroe Community College Dental Hygiene and Assisting programs. He attends continuing education courses throughout the year, and has received training at the highly regarded Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida.
