Dr. Scott Stein is a native Rochesterian who grew up in Brighton. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Buffalo and continued there through Dental School, where he graduated with thesis honors and was elected to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. Dr. Stein then received his orthodontic training, here in Rochester at the Eastman Dental Center’s Department of Orthodontics and was asked to become an instructor in the department upon graduation.
Dr. Stein maintains a full-time private practice in Pittsford, NY. He has previously been a part-time clinical instructor and co-director of the Orthodontic Biomechanics and Orthognathic Surgery courses at the University of Rochester’s Eastman Institute for Oral Health’s Department of Orthodontics.
Dr. Stein has co- authored articles and text book chapters on various orthodontic topics, and has been a guest lecturer at both the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., the Monroe Community College Dental Hygiene and Assisting programs as well as Rochester Regional Health’s General Dental Residency program. He attends continuing education courses throughout the year, and has received training at the highly regarded Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida. Dr. Stein has been elected to the International College of Dentists

In his spare time, Dr. Stein enjoys spending time with his family and friends, coaching his son’s soccer team, attending concerts and cheering on the Bills, Sabre’s and Syracuse Orange!
